We’ve got stuff from like $10.”The menu includes items such as pork chops or chicken with five different flavors, a side salad and French fries, but the calorie count isn’t what you think.”We’re trying to use the latest technology, which are air fryers, so we skip the part of deep frying because everybody knows that is not healthy for your heart,” Ordones said.WISN 12 News got a look inside their fast-food air fryer process.”The concept here is a fast-food in and out. We’ve got the preparation going on downstairs. We move from the prep to upstairs to the oven, then we move from the oven to the warmers, the warmers to the consumer,” partner Jeffrey Parr said.As for the employees, called partners, the goal is to move them on and strengthen Wisconsin’s economy.”We want to be a college for people who want to start restaurants,” Ordones said.They want to give people opportunities and lessons they might not otherwise get.”Inventory, pay your taxes, take care of your people, and that’s what we’re trying to do,” Ordones said. “We’re not trying to be like everybody else.”McCoco’s opens Jan. 2 at 7420 W. Greenfield Ave. The owner told WISN 12 News he also wants to give back to his roots. Inside the restaurant, people will find a donation box to raise money to help children in the Dominican Republic and Colombia.
